Designer of new & recycled leather bags and vintage picker by trade, Erin Templeton's studio/storefront in Vancouver, BC houses a full collection of both.
erin templeton began making leather accessories in 1999, while studying shoemaking at Cordwainer's College in London, England. she continued to study leatherwork in Australia, and once home in Vancouver, BC, she began concentrating on handbags.
a vintage buyer by trade, erin always found the masses of unloved leather inspiring, as each piece is a reminder of who it once was. all designs are lovingly handmade in-house in recycled leather, imported cowhides, or a selection of exclusive and locally tanned elks and bison.
erin's fascination with the past informs designs that aim to defy trends. she uses minimal hardware and simple, strong construction, which allow people to adjust, change, and make pieces their own. it is her hope that each piece is able to be a life long friend.

From the beginning, mini mioche has done things differently than most apparel companies. Every piece of mini mioche clothing is made from start to finish in Canada. All of our fabrics are knit from premium GOTS certified organic cotton yarn to our specification in Toronto and are made exclusively for us. The fabrics are then dyed locally using low-impact, non-toxic, re-usable dyes.
We actually know the people who make our clothing. We visit our factories regularly and we know that they are paid a fair wage and are treated well.

On the other hand, the designers can reach a big amount of potential customers – a win-win situation for both sides.
In the category „Network“ on the website, everybody interested in sustainable fashion can exchange ideas, get tips, discuss or ask questions.
The idea for Sustainable Fashion Network developed during my studies of fashion journalism at AMD Berlin and was honored with the Social Responsibility Award.

At Ungalli, we are fiercely committed to creating a new style standard. We want to raise awareness of the negative impact the mainstream clothing industry has on people, wildlife and the planet. We think your clothes should express who you are and what you stand for, but never to the detriment of others. This is why Ungalli brings you superior style, quality and design, made with integrity every step of the way.
Inspired by both the beautiful place we grew up in, and the lack of awareness about the flaws in the supply chains of the fashion industry, we launched Ungalli in 2013. After being accepted into an accelerator program, we received an outpouring of support from our community in Northern Ontario. This helped us garner enough attention to win a Top 30 Under 30 award for Sustainabilit
